Who will you work for?
A regionally focused agronomic consulting and farm management business delivering practical, science-based advice to predominantly broadacre farmers across Southern Queensland and Northern NSW. With over 25 years of industry expertise, their services extend from crop planning and pest management through to precision farming and dry hire equipment solutions, including the recent addition of a soil coring and testing trailer service.

The role itself?
This role is going to suit a person that has experience in providing technical support and recommendations across a range of crops including wheat, barley, cotton, chickpeas, sorghum and mungbeans. The role involves paddock-based work, crop monitoring, soil testing, report writing and building trusted relationships with growers. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct regular in-field crop and fallow inspections

  • Provide weed, pest and disease identification and management advice

  • Deliver chemical and fertiliser application recommendations

  • Collaborate with farmers to develop crop rotations and nutrient plans

  • Use Agworld software for recordkeeping and reporting

  • Assist with soil testing service, including:

    • Soil coring using trailer-based system

    • Submitting and interpreting lab results

    • Making fertiliser and nutrition recommendationsYour day to day activities in this role will include:

  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to enhance productivity on-farm

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to a culture of trust and service

  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, regulations and best practices
