Maintenance Operations Manager – Farming - Bundaberg

This business is a leading grower and manager of tropical tree crops and is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee maintenance operations across multiple farm sites.

About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead and develop maintenance teams and oversee all farm workshop and machinery maintenance operations. You’ll drive preventative maintenance programs, minimise downtime, and ensure critical farm infrastructure and equipment remain in peak condition.
This role suits a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, and mentor maintenance and workshop teams across multiple farm locations
Oversee mechanical servicing, repairs, and maintenance of all farm machinery, vehicles, and equipment
Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules
Coordinate and prioritise breakdown responses to minimise operational disruption
Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventories, and resource planning
Support and advise on capital improvements and infrastructure projects
Ensure all maintenance activities meet Work Health & Safety (WHS) and environmental standards
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
What You Bring
Trade qualification in mechanical, engineering, or a related field
Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams (agriculture or similar industries desirable)
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to support complex repairs when required
Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
A collaborative leadership style with a “can-do” attitude
Current Class C driver’s licence
