Market Development Manager – Broadacre Segment – Southern Australia

 

Are you a technically strong, commercially minded agronomist interested in helping to shape the next generation of broadacre crop solutions across southern Australia?

The Opportunity

Working closely with growers, industry partners and the internal commercial team, you will lead on-farm engagement across southern broadacre systems. You’ll translate local crop challenges and market insights into integrated farm plans, practical technical guidance and scalable commercial solutions.

You’ll also undertake localisation and commercial trial work, build the evidence behind new biological technologies, and play an influential role in product positioning, training, extension and launch activity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead meaningful on-farm engagement with progressive broadacre growers across southern farming systems

  • Develop comprehensive, integrated large-farm plans aligned with grower needs and commercial objectives

  • Identify crop challenges, market trends and opportunities, then turn those insights into actionable recommendations

  • Conduct commercial trial, validation and localisation work for new biological and crop protection technologies

  • Help refine product positioning and support the successful development and launch of new solutions

  • Drive adoption of scalable systems and precision agriculture technology

  • Build trusted relationships with growers, industry bodies, business partners and internal stakeholders

  • Design and deliver technical training, extension programs and supporting technical material

About You

  • You are an agronomist who enjoys being in the paddock, understands the commercial realities of farming, and can communicate complex technical information in a practical and compelling way

  • At least three years’ experience and sound technical capability in broadacre crop protection and plant nutrition

  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups

  • The ability to balance technical knowledge transfer with clear commercial outcomes

  • A solutions-focused mindset and the curiosity to identify unmet grower needs and develop new approaches

  • Confidence delivering product training and producing high-quality technical support material

  • A collaborative style, sound judgement and a willingness to travel throughout the region
